The marathon is open to anyone who would like to participate in the following distances: 5km Run, 10km, 21km Half Marathon and the Corporate Challenge.
Runners are reminded that running is a strenuous activity and they must ensure that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the event.
The Corporate Challenge is a team-based competition that encourages running clubs and companies to foster teamwork, camaraderie, and employee/member engagement through participation in the marathon event. Companies/running clubs form teams of four members who will participate in the 10km distance category. At the end of the race, their cumulative time will be averaged and the team with the lowest average time will win.
All proceeds from the race event go towards the Strathmore University Scholarship Initiative. The registration fees for participation in the physical marathon are as follows: KES 2,000 for individual entrants and KES 20,000 for the Corporate Challenge.
All registrations and payments are to be done online. NO CASH PAYMENT should be given to any individual person or persons.
The platform only allows for cards enrolled for EMV 3DS i.e., transactions must be authenticated by correct OTP. Your card should allow for card authentication via a “One Time Password”. All cards without this capability will result in failed transactions.
To safeguard your card payments, we have limited your card payment attempts to a maximum of 5 card payments in a single day.
All registered participants will receive a confirmation email and receipt upon successful registration to the email address used at the time of registration.
Will there be a refund if the race is called off due to unforeseen circumstances? – No refund will be made if the race is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Kit collection for individual registrations will be done at the Strathmore University Student’s centre from to be added to Saturday 5th October 2026 from 8 am to 5 pm.
Yes. Collection of race kit is possible and the person collecting must come with a confirmation slip (either printed or softcopy) and some identification document.

Yes. You can leave all your belongings at the left luggage area which will be at the warm-up area.
